General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsSo Democrats failed to vote in VA and the Trump Taliban won.
Hopefully the NJ election will go better.
I also blame Joe Manchin for sabotaging the entire Dem agenda in Washington. That certainly didn't help. He sent Biden abroad empty-handed, stabbed him in the back after that, and has sabotaged the entire Democratic agenda that Americans voted for in the majority in Nov 2020. Manchin NEVER intended to allow BBB to pass. He wants BIF only and nothing else and will OBSTRUCT until that happens. Or LESS (ie: nothing passes).
ONE MAN has SABOTAGED the entire DEMOCRATIC PARTY, sent the leader of that party abroad empty-handed, stabbed him in the back while he was over there, and TRASHED the entire Dem agenda that voters voted for.
THAT certainly DID NOT help McAuliffe in VA. AT. ALL.
TODAY I voted in a municipal election. Tiny local election. I voted in the primary for this election too.
I VOTE.
EVERY. TIME.
This is NOT goddamned rocket science.

They should have had a good deal all democrats could run on
thats why Biden and the dems were elected and Manchin and Sinema are FVCKING
us royally.
WORSE than any republican.

(12,651 posts)I read nothing about Dems spending years expanding healthcare for Virginians and Republicans wanting to take that away.
Instead of focusing on vaccine mandates and CRT, tell everyone that goal is to get life back to normal, have all schools open and kids back in classes, and get everyone back to work.
I tuned in for a few events and speeches and I heard none of this.
I feel like that's not that hard. Pivot and paint a picture that's favorable.
certainot
(9,090 posts)and the analysts do the same - they must all live in cities and would cover their ears if it came on the radio - they're always astounded by this shit and then tell everyone either democrats are too liberal or a few say not liberal enough and manchin gets to point to 'constituencies' that flew out of limbaugh's ass. how many times did media call TFG a 'branding genius' with no clue that limbaugh was repeating that name 50 times an hour on 600 of the loudest radio stations in the country for 3 hours a day.
yeah the racism works. CRT flew out of 1500 radio stations on a regular basis until it became a thing. it wouldn't matter what mccauliff said or didn't say or how progressive he was. the fuckheads screaming in schoolboard meetings are the same ditttoheads who screamed about obamacare at the town hall meetings.
all dems have to do is figure that out. it really is the biggest political mistake in history
Virginia Tech broadcasts sports on 5 xlimbaugh stations - using their black student athletes to help republican radio stations create strawmen like CRT and creating the buzz that media repeats - that biden and progressives are failing so why vote - with no fucking complaint from democrats in and around that university

This isn't complicated. It would do you good if you don't cape for the bad actors. Not tonight.

Who's the bad actors. Lets ask Nicole Wallace

Just 2 weeks ago she said to her supporters, when asked if she'd hold up the bill for more, "Yes, because "Nothing's better than something."
Explain what she meant by that, please.
Because the VA race has now come & gone

(14,869 posts)Republicans are bad actors. They intend to destroy our nation. We know this, and expecting them to do otherwise is foolish.
Which leaves it in the hands of 2 humans who claim to be democrats while doing everything they can to force democrats to lose.
If they are not brought to heal, this is what 2022 and 2024 look like. We win or lose as a party and as a country on this hill.

Even many people that voted for Biden and hate Trump start getting worried about things like critical race theory which they don't really know anything about.
Obama had some white support which he lost and never got back against after he talked about black and brown men being unfairly targeted by cops.

or at the very least start listening to Rick Wilsons advice. He called this several weeks ago. This race should have never even been close no matter what manchin has done. Its been like watching HRC & DT all over again. Where Dems campaigned for the position not against the opposition because they thought he is way too crazy no ones gonna vote for him
.and now again here we are.
