Everyday

Every day I log into democratic underground I watch Democrats being trashed every day here. I may not agree with these Democrats and there positions yet am not calling them out or calling them vile names. It is not just two Democrats
that need to be taken to task there are others that seem to be getting a pass. Wake up or we gonna lose big-time.

I pray we win VA. and NJ.

Figure it out kids. You support Democrats or you don’t. Stop the trashing and we can win. I’m begging you to make this right for all of us .

We can’t afford to lose.

Of course, yes. Overwhelmingly, the Democratic candidate is always the right choice in a final. But, we need to get this messaging and imaging problem fixed. A candidate who is spot on regarding policy can be a freekin disaster with optics and communication. We just witnessed that in VA. There seems to be a serious breakdown in coordination in cases like this one.
For example, we all know what he meant, but you cannot get behind a microphone and tell the public that "parents have no right to dictate what is taught in schools". I don't recall the exact quote, but that's pretty close.
OBVIOUSLY, few parents are expert in this field, and are unqualified to make such decisions, right? We agree, but HOW it was said was a serious problem. And that's just one example. The numb-skull level voters out there took it in a way as being totalitarian or overly authoritative. Even though the premise was correct, it just came out sounding all wrong. We can't afford these types of mistakes, we need these leaders to stop forgetting how dumb some of voters really are, and we need to promote more people who are better at it, especially in these final days of an election run.
Not learning these lessons just keeps biting us in the ass. This CAN be fixed, and it isn't the end of the world. But we need to pay attention, and coordination needs to be a lot better among the party leaders and candidates.
