Election of Virginia

An off year election that went with historic trend. I’m disappointed but kind of question why the media is making this a disaster for the Democratic Party. I don’t recall any stories about Vermont, Maryland or Massachusetts electing and even some cases re-electing republican governors. Nor do I recall republicans in trouble over Louisiana and other states electing democratic governors. Is the media taking this too far?

1. That's what media does. They treat politics like a sport. They sensationalize the "scoreboard".

The exciting story isn’t that states re-elect the same person from the same party but rather that a state just delivered a message to the incumbent President with implications for a MAJOR shift when the midterms come.

NJ governor race is stupid close, though we might pull it out.

PA saw the pubs win just about everything that was statewide

there are plenty of other examples.

The real reason why alarm is justified is how we lost. Independents broke for the pubs widely, and we lost a lot of ground in key suburban areas that are essential for holding the House

I like to stay informed, but if someone is always tuned into whatever news is on; it all tends to be dire and negative.

Let’s not allow ourselves to be driven crazy by the media. Otherwise, we might be the ones taking a day off work or whatever, to storm the capital one day.

…and we lost Nassau County in NY. Along with all the Voter reform Amendments.

This wasn’t an isolated case.
