Many topics are posted as duplicates, in triplicate and even quadrupled, all over the discussion board. None of them matter in General Discussion and in all places elsewhere, except one place.

The only place "No duplicates" is a rule, at the Democratic Underground, is in the LBN* Forum. There is no such rule in General Discussion or any other place on the discussion board.

On the Democratic Underground, in some of its previous iterations, just having this type of discussion, critiquing posts based on the form of their content, was considered "meta" and in itself, could have been deemed unacceptable, based on the old rules.
