The GOP is so bold as to have some GOP candidates say women should not vote. They are not smart enough and they are too emotional to vote correctly. Why are these brutes still on the public stage?

(8,994 posts)The first time I said "why aren't women fighting back!" I was accused of blaming the victim.
If you are a woman and you vote GOP, you are worthy of being blamed. Nobody's excusing Republican men, either, but you must raise an eyebrow when the chickens vote for the foxes to guard the hen house!!!

(15,224 posts)With the war on women so very apparent and clear, how any woman can vote to continue that is beyond me.
Are they brainwashed? Are they really, really just THAT stupid? Afraid of what their husbands/pastors/fathers will think of them?
Good grief! The Republicans hate women. It's never been this crystal clear in history.

(45,558 posts)as something for Republican Women to do at the turn of the last century. It was the progressives movement which found strength with calls for Temperance.
Of course the League quickly morphed into a non-partisan organization, but it was the do gooders wealthy wives of republicans in the eastern cities who brought forth both organizations and the idea of Prohibition.
Of course there were many democrats involved in both organization, but it was the women, mainly republican women, who had the means and the time to force these changes to our way of life, the most important being open voting.
