Trying to figure out

what mood my dogs in. I’ve been googling for about two hours and since I can’t google a sound I thought I would ask here. I have multiple rescue animals and one is a pit. She’s very gentle but every so often she tries to sit on my lap or lay on me in bed. I wondered if she is trying to be like my doxie. Tonight she was trying to sit on me while making this continuous sound. Not a growl or a whine kind of a funny sound. It makes me laugh. I just want to know what is going on. Anyone experience anything like this with their pets

He makes a weird sound when he hiccups. It's almost like a whooping sound, but his mouth isn't open. It's a sound coming from his throat I guess. It usually only lasts maybe a minute. Not dangerous but it sounds alarming, like something could be really wrong.
