2. I wanted a Pfizer Booster since I tolerated the first two shots well.

I received the original Pfizer shots at CVS. When I tried to book my booster shot I noticed they were now using Moderna. That's why I'm getting my Pfizer Booster Shot at Costco. I know you can mix and match but I tolerated Pfizer well.

I know it was pharmacy specific and some CVSs used Moderna and some used Pfizer but I was going to go back to the specific pharmacy that offered Pfizer.

5. We tried to get one this afternoon--unsuccessfully

There is a center in Wuppertal, a little over half an hour away from where we live, that offers Moderna booster shots on Saturdays. They want a six month interval between the second shot and the booster. Our second shot was on May 10th in Dallas. When we got there, they said, yes they could do it, and yes, they had Moderna vaccine, but today was November 6th, which was four days short of six months--and THAT meant that we couldn't get the booster. We had to come back in 4 days, when it was the full 6 months.

My wife is pretty much a German patriot, but she was cursing their mentality today, and their fanatic adherence to rules and regulations ("Vorschriften" here in Germany). This past spring, they were turning people away from vaccination centers here because they had not made an appointment online. They explained they would be breaking the law, so they threw the vaccine away instead of administering it to willing people.

As for us this afternoon, we were invited to come back on Wednesday, as if nobody had to work for a living (like me, for example!), and everyone had all the time in the world to make a half-hour journey whenever the rules and regulations said they should. I felt the same way my wife did, but if there is one thing Germans like less than other Germans yelling at them, it's non-Germans yelling at them, so I let her do the talking. We were still turned away.

The online system for many pharmacies won't let you make an appointment prior to the six-month date.

Here, their site just told of the wonderful services they offered, and said no appointment needed.

Not a word about the six month rule being rigidly enforced, and no phone number to call to find out.

6. All Pfizer For Me

Got my booster a couple of weeks ago. Had no side effects, no trouble at all with any of the three shots. Maybe it’s my O blood type.

I will never ever comprehend anti vaccine types, something is wrong upstairs for them.

Had a blah feeling, a little flush, & a sore arm for a few hours the next day.
Nothing much.

Booster yesterday was Moderna. The pharmacist told me they are actually seeing this combination be a little more effective against the virus.

All I've had is soreness at injections sites--both arms because I got my flu shot at the same time.

after getting the J&J in March. It was a rough night…body aches, chills, very sore shoulder, headache…but I’m on the mend today. Tired but doing a lot better. My husband also got his booster yesterday and although he had no side effects with his first two vaccines, the booster kicked his ass.
