It's that he always thinks he's the only smart one in the room.
That happens when a fairly smart person isn't as smart as they think they are.

(65,248 posts)It was maybe a year ago, where was talking about how good it is and how he made this huge gain.
But, somebody inside leaked that his bitcoin holdings are about a thousandth of his portfolio.
So, he's encouraging others to take investment risks, when he's investing a penny for every $10.
Must not be that confident in the thing he's promoting.

(2,448 posts)He is fortunate that his employer required daily testing. It gave him the knowledge that he was positive the very first day of illness. He was able to get treated quickly and without delay. This is not true of all patients. Most patients may not know for a few days and then wait before getting treatment. Some patients have to wait to get treatment because of backlog. I think we all need to quit listening to Aaron Rodgers.
SergeStorms
(19,204 posts)about how much he's costing the people of Green Bay (it's a community owned football team) for his daily COVID testing, and how much he's costing the team while he's not playing during his quarantine. Several Green Bay players have had COVID this season, so I guess he's not the only person on the anti-vax train. This costs the organization a bunch of money. But why would he care. It's not his money.

(2,448 posts)pay the costs. This does demonstrate the power of unions. The Packers are one of the few public entities that can unionize along with the police.

(12,880 posts)Speaking on "The Pat McAfee Show," Rodgers said that he is "in the crosshairs of the woke mob" and that "before my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket," he wanted to clear up some of the "blatant lies out there." He said that he did not lie during his Aug. 27 press conference, when he said he was "immunized," but he said there was a "witch hunt" that was going on to shame people who had not been vaccinated.
Rodgers said that he did not get two of the vaccines because he found he was allergic to an ingredient in the mRNA vaccines, and said that when the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was pulled back in mid-April, he decided he would not get that vaccine either.
"I'm not some sort of anti-vax flat-earther. I'm somebody who's a critical thinker. I march to the beat of my own drum. I believe strongly in bodily autonomy. Not to have to acquiesce to some woke culture or some crazed group of individuals," Rodgers said on the show.
In addition to being allergic to an ingredient in the vaccine and his concern over the J&J vaccine, Rodgers said that he would like to become a father, and that to his knowledge, "there have been no long-term studies around sterility or fertility issues around the vaccines."

He's about 15 years older than her as well. She can do much, much better than him. That's my opinion anyway. He seems a bit too full of himself to have room in there for anyone else.

(19,204 posts)But I read medical journals and peer reviewed papers, not Facebook.
I came to the conclusion that the mRNA vaccine was safe, and found no reliable evidence that there were long-term side effects.
So doing your own research can be done if you're using the correct scientific studies to make an informed decision.
Facebook and Twitter would never be considered correct scientific studies, but when you're looking for an intended conclusion, like anti-vaxxers and republicans, they're considered gospel.

(20,913 posts)and didn't follow the rules. Instead of just apologizing, he went full bro and blamed everyone else for the problem he created. Meanwhile most Americans are now vaccinated, and many face mandatory vaccination at work so they really don't give a rats ass for Rogers half ass rationalizing his decision. Three billion people are now vaccinated world wide, yet he acts like it's some magic experimental treatment that you need to inquire with fellow bro Joe Rogan about instead of just doing the normal in and out procedure. It's also the bare minimum a person can do for the safety of others. As the leader of his team, to fail to even mask up because you were pretending to be vaccinated is low. Real low brow behavior.

Rodgers said he was advised by his doctors to avoid the vaccine given his allergies and a potential allergic reaction. Just imagine if someone of Rodgers profile had taken and died from an allergic reaction to the vaccine. The vaccine hesitancy we see now would be infinitely worse.
The whole 240 character zinger methodology Twitter is known for disgusts me. Theres no room for nuance, and only serves to degrade our national discourse.

(1,996 posts)I'm not about to defend Aaron Rodgers for not being vaccinated and then being dishonest about it. Man up and be honest for crying out loud!
But, to run the man down when none of us REALLY know what his political stance is that is just a huge assumption.
Are any of you aware that Aaron Rodgers took a fan to task publicly for shouting out during a moment of silence for victims of the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks, "Muslims suck!"?
https://kutv.com/sports/talkin-sports/aaron-rodgers-wins-on-social-media-for-scolding-fans-anti-muslim-outburst
Before kick-off of the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions' game at Lambeau Field, the NFL held a moment of silence to honor those affected by the terror attacks in Paris two days earlier.
There was a moment of silence across the nation for all NFL games. The NFL's YouTube channel showed how stadiums around the NFL honored victims of the attacks. The one from Lambeau Field was at the end of the video compilation.
In the video you can hear one person apparently yelling "Muslims suck."
snip
Rodgers took a moment during the post-game interview to sternly call out and scold a fan like a father would to his child.
"I must admit though I was very disappointed with whoever the fan was who made a comment that I thought was really inappropriate, during the moment of silence," Rodgers told the media. "It's that kind of prejudicial ideology that I think puts us in the position that we are in today -- as a world."
That certainly does not sound like a rethug to me. Rodgers was also in opposition to the Dakota pipeline.
He is wrong and did lie about the vaccination issue but I am afraid he is not the only one, be they DEM or GOP.
