... he seems to get away with crimes all the time. His fans love him for not paying his taxes - they think taxes are the Government's way of giving their money to lazy brown people. Still, you'd think he would have been charged with something, by now!

It's more cut and dried in the sense that if you have all the records, you can objectively determine and prove a crime. You don't need to rely on witnesses the same way you do in other kinds of cases.

That said, whenever there's this much complexity, it becomes hard to make the case so clearly that it's still convincing even after expert defense obfuscation.

It can be done, but it takes a lot of time to go through all the details.

I *hope* they are diligently working on this.

... even before he left the White House. Also NYC Municipal tax collectors had a case against him.

Even if the federal govt (IRS) never goes after him, his hands are full with the city, county and state cases. I'm sure his lawyers are using every delay tactic on the books, and then some. It's the business taxes as well as the personal taxes. They'll get him, don't worry.

Because you read a newspaper article? Or a blog post? That's not how you build a criminal case.

Let me also observe that the IRS in the 8 years of the Obama Administration didn't charge Trump with tax fraud. Maybe the know more than you do?

...but "we all know he's guilty" isn't the basis for a criminal indictment, much less a conviction.

TFG got a $73 million REFUND from the IRS (and a couple million more from NY as a result), and has sat on that while they review it for TEN YEARS.

It is now controlled by Dems:
