Nearly half of Republicans don't think history of racism should be taught in US schools

Nearly half of all Republican respondents to a newly released survey have said they are against the history of racism being taught in American schools.

As many as 43 per cent of respondents to the poll, which was published by Monmouth University on Wednesday, told pollsters they were against “public schools teaching about the history of racism”.

Sometimes I think we all need to remember what we did learn in our History classes.

All colors of people were informed of this country's past and I don't recall anyone having nightmares. I do recall the civil Rights Movement. It ended the "separate but equal" policy. It also dismantled the "Jim Crow " laws .
Never forget, Civil rights movement activists: Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, John Lewis to name a few.

We've grown from these atrocities and they should be embedded in our history class so we never repeat them.

someone needs to tell those republicans that's it always been taught in our schools and we won't stop
