You'll remember him as being in the room and on some calls when desperate calls were made from Capitol Police to request National Guard assistance on Jan. 6.
He was subsequently assigned, in June, to the post of Commander USARPAC United States Army in the Pacific.
Was this a measure to get him out of Washington? Should we be worried about any authority he might have, considering his brother's ongoing treasonous remarks?
Some have asked the question as to whether Korea is part of his assignment. The answer to that is no. It is a separate command.
Here are the facts regarding his background and his command.

How crazy it is.
And his brother Michael reportedly involved in arms transfer to Saudi Arabia (in addition to his other traitorous actions) colors the whole dam fam, IMO.

(13,283 posts)and the nature of his current assignment suggest that the transfer has something to do with his now confirmed presence during a call from the DC government and Capitol police to the Army headquarters requesting urgent help from the National Guard during the Jan 6 riot. He was promoted to the rank of a four-star general less than four weeks after Trump lost the election, and was transferred to the Pacific three weeks after the insurrection.
He is now as far from DC, the Pentagon and the Joint Chiefs of Staff as he could possibly be. He takes orders from and reports to the commander of the US Army Pacific command, who is also stationed in Hawaii. The chain of command from there up also puts much distance between him and DC.
He is as far from having influence on events in DC as he could possibly get without the embarrassment of demoting a four-star general less than two months after his promotion.
As far as the influence he still has, I don't know. But it sure looks like it is a hell of a lot less than he used to have on Jan 6.
