Lyving war is not what you think. It is not necessarily another nation declaring war against the US.

Between Eastman, Ellis, and Meadows, it is clear there is emerging evidence of a conspiracy to overturn the election, and evidence that the involved parties (other than perhaps delusional Trump) knew there was no electoral fraud. There is likely a number of smoking guns in the documents Trump is fighting to keep from being released to the committee.

Potential charges include conspiracy to commit sedition, to defraud the US government, among others.

Bernstein is right that both the committee and the media need to spend the next year hammering home the facts related to this attempted coup. I sincerely hope that once the closed door hearings are largely completed, the committee will hold televised hearings either interrogating witnesses, or if the witnesses can’t be compelled to testify, then examining the existing evidence and making criminal referrals.
