If, as people here suggest, they want to make Biden look bad, this is strange approach.

The New York Times (I've subscribed since College) does incredibly deep investigative reporting, which everyone here reads (or complains about their paywall). But when an article comes out that's not "good news", then they're "corporatist" and biased, and worthy of dumping.

That does not negate evidence that stories are very often framed in a way that presents a skewed and conflictual narrative. I don't think that the media is trying to make Biden look bad as a prime goal. They do however, point out the most sensational story or sensationalize stories which creates narratives that paint people in a negative light.
If you do not think that there is bias in the media based on what the owners of said media align with, then, I am not sure what to make of that. It is a sense of naiveté that I would not have imagined from you given your history in politics.

Don't know who's advising Biden on political strategy, but maybe he should've listened to Sean Patrick Maloney. This was the perfect opportunity for a prime-time address explaining to Americans exactly what's in the bill for them. Instead we got yet another 4PM event on the east coast that will end up being seen by very few.
