I hope the first bridge that gets upgraded as a result of the BIF

is the one that connects Louisville, KY, and Indiana over the Ohio River, with President Biden standing there to cut the ribbon and calling out Mitch McConnell....

But that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to be called out - just as a general principle.

Yes, I think that bridge should be high on the list.

Last week people were suggesting infrastructure projects be withheld from red states. Now we want to make them a priority?

The one on 75 is dropping chunks of concrete onto vehicles. That one is big news too.

There no good count of how many local bridges are either closed or actually unsafe just waiting to collapse but not inspected.

A bridge in my hometown was closed 3 years on a State Hwy. Trucks had to go 50 miles out of the way but locals were literally driving the creek about 2 miles from the bridge. It got fixed this summer thanks to big coal suing the state.
