UK Taxi Driver hailed as a hero, after locking terror suspect in his cab, just before bomb blast...

Hero taxi driver locks terror suspect in car before blast outside Liverpool hospital. The UK terror threat level has been raised to "severe" after an explosion outside Liverpool Women's Hospital.

Taxi driver David Perry survived the blast but his passenger was killed when a homemade bomb exploded shortly before 11:00 GMT on Remembrance Sunday. The man, who is believed to have manufactured and brought the device into the taxi, died at the scene.

Police said the motivation for the attack was unclear but it had been declared as a terrorist incident.Home Secretary Priti Patel said the threat level had been raised from "substantial" to "severe", meaning an attack is highly likely, because the explosion in Liverpool was the second incident in a month.

That's something I didn't know.

Useful for keeping small children safe, I suppose, but it makes me a little reluctant to take a taxi.

I don't like riding in vehicles I can't escape from. It's one of the reasons I hate flying.

Sometimes drivers who never use the feature accidentally hit the button and then have to figure out how to unlock the rear doors.
