Ohio House passes bill allowing concealed carry without a permit

weapon drawn and ready, you reach for your registration you are dead. We will have self appointed vigilantes pulling guns at someone that looks at them wrong. If there is a peaceful demonstration we will have a Rittenhouse want to
be claiming he felt threatened. Someone gets into a political argument with a MAGA he shoots you claiming he thought you were reaching for a gun.

They had it when I left back in 2005. I wasn't very happy about it.

But it seemed to workout ok. The cops didn't go trigger happy like they are in Minnesota and California.

For some reasons cops in some states are more violent than others it seems. I don't know why.

Green = No permit required

Dark blue = Permit automatically granted (except for prohibited persons)

A couple of dozen other states have already passed laws negating the need for a permit without the police killing everyone who reaches for their registration. I suspect Ohio won’t be any different.

If you think about it. People with money already could afford the around $3-400 for the permit while people that might be able to pay that for a handgun couldn’t swing both. If they are going to allow people to carry it shouldn’t be just those who can afford it. Also this keeps the ability of whites only type of permitting which at one time was a thing here in Oklahoma. It’s one of the reasons I oppose states that do may issue instead of shall issue looking at you California and NY. In California recently a sheriff was found to allow the issue of a permit if you donated or were friends of his. If it is going to be a right it shouldn’t be one only if you are rich or well connected. Unless you are wanting to limit less well to do or minorities and only allow rich white people. Just my perspective on it I say everyone or none and since none seems to not be realistic, everyone.
