(2,868 posts)In the particular situation I'm referencing, it dropped 35 cents/gal.
As everyone knows, if an oil tanker hits a seal in the middle of the ocean, the gas stations are rushing to raise prices, and they are reluctant to lower prices when the price of crude falls, and even then very slowly, but price competition is spreading.
Now you might see some trying to bump prices mid-week to capture holiday travelers, but the trend will be down.
Are you saying this coming Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving?

(46,136 posts)But both AAA and Gas Buddy are reporting that on a nationwide basis, prices have leveled off, but not dropped by anything near those amounts -- yet. Hopefully, we'll see the predicted drop in the next few weeks (although one can never predict how OPEC will behave).

(7,398 posts)For the record, my achy back has cleared up too and I'm pretty sure that's Biden's fault as well.
Problem is I can't prove it because he didn't take a photo op at my house.

On edit:
That pipeline is much closer to the gulf depots, and also Sam's obviously subsidizes their gas prices.
