says her job feels 'more and more dangerous' every dayOn Saturday, Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., tweeted out a call for expulsion of House Republicans who are offering internships to Kyle Rittenhouse, an 18-year-old from Wisconsin who was acquitted Friday on five charges related to his fatal shooting of two men and injury of a third during protests in August over the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
"Just being real: every day it feels more and more dangerous coming to work. Not only do these members fuel violence. Now they're actively recruiting someone whose sole qualification is killing people standing up for Black lives and getting away with it," Bush tweeted. "They must be expelled."

Bush included screenshots of three public offers to hire Rittenhouse as an intern from Republican Reps. Paul Gosar, Matt Gaetz, and Madison Cawthorn. Rittenhouse's criminal defense attorney said he thinks his client pursuing a career in politics would not be a "wise thing" to do in response to the offers.
However, this is not Bush's first time calling for the expulsion of Gosar.

(26,252 posts)main mouthpieces in the gutter party (gop) who are always mouthing off are taking the lead (desperately trying to be relevant, and thus, pretending that they know 'something', anything! (and they don't)).

(21,876 posts)As much as we can't stand him, Rittenhouse technically has no criminal record. However bad taste it may be (and it is), members of Congress are free to legally offer him internships.

(9,976 posts)She calls for that "this type of stuff all the time" because there is a clear and present danger all the time. How nice of you to minimize the threat she and others are faced with.

(21,876 posts)She was calling for Trump's impeachment in 2017. Pelosi rightfully waited for two real reasons to impeach him. Haste makes waste. Pelosi isn't even calling for MTG's expungement, because it sets a dangerous president and opens up a Pandora's Box.
She is also about the only member of Congress that still says to defund the police. This is not an attack on her, but she is among the furthest Left in all of Congress. Much more so than AOC, even though she gets mentioned the most.

Madison Cawthorn is a Nazi who incites violence.
Paul Gosar is a white nationalist who took part in planning the insurrection.
But even Rittenhouse's attorney said he's disgusted with how these lawmakers are trying to cash in on his client.
