The "Missing Link" at FOX News and Right-Wing Media

The "missing link" is the information they refuse to report about the January 6th insurrection.

First of all, they do not call it an "insurrection".

They want the American people, but most of all their viewers, to believe that it was just a raucous rally that got out of control. It was no different than the rallies and riots that happened in Portland and other places.

They want people to believe that the "rioters" of January 6th were "patriots", not grifters, scofflaws, and criminals. It was really not much different from a bunch of tourists on a normal day at the Capitol.

But the two words they never mention are "attempted coup".

The "missing link" in all of their reporting is the most obvious and the most necessary for our citizens to know.

There was an organized plot to stop the legitimate electoral function of our government. The goal was to over-throw an election. The goal was to keep the previous president in power. It was not a spontaneous event. It was a well-planned conspiracy against our government.

But FOX News and right-wing media fail to report this "missing link" of the story.

Why? Because they are accomplices.

I want to know the answer to this question; there is an FBI tip line where I can call the FBI and say report there may be a child sex trafficking ring going on in my neighbor's house. Is the FBI obliged to investigate my tip? Does the FBI need to go through Merrick Garland before doing an investigation?

I have a tip for the FBI. I have heard audio of Donald Trump trying to get an election official in Georgia to change the results of the Georgia election. I have seen a reputable journalist report that Chief of Staff Mark Meadows used his G-mail account to get an election official in Georgia to change votes in a certified election. Dear Mr. Wray, I also have much more evidence that has come from award winning journalists that indicates to me that Trump and the Trump administration attempted to overthrow our government by overturning the results of a valid, certified election. Dear Mr. Wray can you spare a few agents to look into this matter? Thanks for the country.

The DOJ was almost destroyed under Trump and Barr.

That Mr Wray was able to survive with integrity is a concern of mine. How much enthusiasm does he have for the truth to come out? How much confidence does Garland have in his FBI Director?

Is it possible they are quietly investigating the matter that you mention?

We need the DOJ to do the heavy lifting, god bless the select committee but it doesn't have the clout of DOJ.

They have won cases in the courts. Years ago a husband and wife team from a Fox station in Florida did a report on the abuses found at farms. Fox bosses rewrote the report. The 2 reporters refused to air the doctored report on TV so Fox fired them and Fox eventually won the case in court, which amounted to saying that Fox reporters are obliged to lie or they can be fired, that case was Monsanto v Fox.

Fox has won other cases in court by claiming it is not a news network, it is an opinion network so people should not believe what they see on Fox. I don't have the name of that court case but it happened.

Do we simply surrender and not challenge them when they refuse to report the truth? Do their viewers deserve "the other side" of the story?

resides in the dust bin of history.

Fox has the money behind it. It would take a lot of guts and a lot of money for people to take Fox to court. I believe that Fox was named in the Dominion law suit, but I may be wrong about that. So much going on I can't keep track. Fox can afford to lose a lot of money in a civil suit and still keep chugging along.

...with the American media.

Lies, truth, facts, deceptions... pick one.

And never let bias come into the equation.

In my opinion, there should be some sort of regulation on all types of media. Propaganda for the purpose of political division should not be permitted. It should also include all forms of social media. The facts are too important to be juggled in the air with all the other nonsense.

...of this failing in the right-wing media, especially FOX News.

The general public cannot know what they have not been told or shown.
