If my son went for some skittles and return didnt
Or played in the park and didnt return
Or went for a jog and didnt return
Or reached for his license and didnt return
And with his last dying breathe called out my name
I would burn down the damn city too
This is the link to the pic but I cant get it to work

(8,739 posts)If the Georgia KKKlan walk, with an understanding to the streets outrage, the newly approved shooting of protesters against the KKKlan will go Rittenhouse on them. And the extreme whities will make it the opening salvo for the war they want. Pushed by trump, Bannon, Jones and the Q in congress cheering it on.

(13,180 posts)I've heard and read a lot of statements from the many families who have lost loved ones. None of the people who actually experienced the losses talked about in the sign have "burned down the damn city," or held a sign that says that's Ok, or called for violence in any statements. At least not that I know of. Correct me if I missed a case of that happening.
The woman holding the sign begins hypothetically, "If my son..." and ends with "burn down the damn city too." But the friends and families walking the real walk of grief and anger haven't done that. So why is the sign-holder saying she would? If she did, it would make her the only one. But she makes it much worse with the one word at the end of her sign. Since the real families and friends didn't "burn down the damn city," the sign commits a grave injustice against them by saying the sign-holder would burn it down "too." They didn't do it or even say it, so she can't do it "too."
Finally, the sign can be seen as a backfire at best. That's the way I see it, unfortunately, as immoral and not worthy of respect, just alienating and counterproductive to good causes. If the sign said, "I would demand justice" in the last line instead of "I would burn down the damn city too," my opinion would be 180 degrees different.
