Why would somebody have a dirt bike in Boston let alone a whole swarm of them? It wouldn't surprise me if they had Trump 2024 flags flying off the backs of them.

Also like to hear more details about this. The article is lacking in alot of information. Maybe the old guy initiated it? Looks like he took a beating. That's not something somebody would do "just because."

come out, none are even close. All it does is upset and make people distraught. Not worth it when soon enough facts will come out.

What could an 80 year old man to initiate such a beating by a gang of criminals?

Please do fill me in on what might cause criminals to smash someone’s car to pieces and beat them to a pulp?

Done in a number of cities including NYC too.

Dirt bikes and quad runners cheaper than the big street bikes, some kids underaged, no insurance. Easy to outrun cops. It's a recreational thing with no place to ride.

As a kid we had vacant fields, quarries, the woods and could even ride along the train tracks. You could ride and see no one. In a city the noise bothers neighbors, you compete with street legal vehicles. Ends up being a flash mob type issue.

Many don't wear safety gear. Not safe for the street in traffic. It's a manners issue.

Mostly unlicensed, no safety gear, with packs of dozens of them doing stunts and flagrantly breaking traffic laws. Seems like they are taunting the police.

Many are teenagers whose parents bought them

Honestly it's a sign of boredom and rebellion.

As kids we use to get used up smaller dirt bikes and rebuild them. The problem is when other people get hurt.

If you're not worried about them being street legal lots cheaper without the extra parts. From mini bikes to 500cc.

It starts in the vacant lots and ends up on the streets. Sort of a flash mob thing. When you get a large gathering the best the police can do is film and follow up. To chase would only get people injured/killed. Brazen and stupid.

The vacant lots and industrial areas could be dangerous and the liability could fall upon the lot owner. (Like people obey "No Trespassing" signs.)

The problem with the OP issue is in attacking the person. Be annoying but don't be stupid.

While watching, I was trying to think how I would try to evade something like this. I could not come up with any good solutions.

Especially since I believe he had his kids in the car. It would be too dangerous to attempt any extreme and risky evasive moves.

Maybe do some research into these cretins in The Boston area. Bike Life is one such group.

So far I haven't heard of any violence deliberately aimed at anyone but the culture is here now.

Riding opposite to traffic, burnouts at intersections, high speed wheelies...

All that on the streets.

Farmer's fields used as dirt tracks damaging crops.

Cops policy is they will not pursue.

Cops don't want the hassles and accusations if they crackdown on it so they let it go unchecked until a mother and children are killed.

By one of these packs. Never honk your horn at them, something that simple can set them off. They will drag you from the car and beat you if the mob’s attention becomes focused on your vehicle.
