I have been looking at my Facebook page and not many are criticizing the news of the Aubrey trial.

Only a few negative comments from some of the hard core r-wingers. But even those who are r-wingers say it was a legitimate verdict. I’m a bit shocked.

…believe that the same people who see the self defense angle of the Rittenhouse case, must be unable to tell a lynching when they see one. This case was cut and dry.

Also, this case didn't have the rumors, half truths and outright lies that surrounded the Rittenhouse case from the beginning. Once that initial false narrative spread it played into preconceived biases and made it impossible to have a rational discussion of the facts.

The two situations were vastly different. Rittenhouse may have imagined himself a caped crusader and even if a lunatic dressed like Superman is attacked, he has the natural given right to self defense. These miscreants in Georgia hunted, stalked, and preyed upon a person for nothing other than being in the wrong neighborhood. The two situations are nothing close to similar and any claims trying to bridge the two are just giving fuel to the right.

Let's put our energy and intelligence into advancing progressive laws and stop wasting it fighting ridiculous battles. We are all being manipulated into wasting our resources and time into losing ends, stop letting them win.
