I’ll be back in the Keys three days before Christmas so I don’t mind, knowing that I’ll be home in just a few weeks. Today we went to several Christmas tree farms… my kids have a tree farm and they will be at the point of selling next year so we went to see how business is going for other tree growers in the region. We encountered lines of cars waiting for up to two hours to get a tree, so business is booming. It was fun observing the people heading out to cut their own trees, buying a hot chocolate and sitting around bonfires at the farms we visited. But it was really a good thing that I wore a double insulated jacket because for me the wind was brutal. But then again a lot of the locals were dressed in hooded sweatshirts and seemed to be just fine.
