People are gonna start dying because of this hate. Every day it seems the Republican party sinks deeper into this awful place.

(6,679 posts)Is that not a single Republican in this entire country is willing to step up and take the mic out of her hand.
Even McCain, with all his shortcomings, was willing to take the mic away from that woman at a town hall and spoke up for Obama. It was way too little too late after allowing Palin to start it all, but it was something.
Now not even a a single one of them has the smallest iota of decency.

So... McCain will be remembered as an essentially honorable person by even those who opposed everything else about him (although thank you so much for the famous thumbs down, too). Can any other contemporaneous Republican say the same? (Not that they care about honor.)

(51,589 posts)She needs to get new material. She thinks she is so clever when in fact she comes off looking and acting like a 12 year old. Why is she still allowed to voice her racist opinions and still be a member of the House?
Because, to our national shame, she is now a mainstream House Republican. A fellow House Republican either speaks up in opposition, voices active approval, or gives tacit approval through silence. There are no other options.
