I agree. I wish we had Newt going head to head with Dumbo.
I had a hard time watching tonight. I just get so sick of all Dumbos lies and his damn line, the rich need to contribute a little more. He makes me fricken sick every time he says that!!!!!!!!!

Point for Obama. I don't think that will be a game changer though. Also, my perspective may be different from most viewers, for example, I remember Obama's promise to eliminate weapons research, since before the 2008 election.
BTW Marines do use bayonets today, but they don't have "Corpse-men."
One thing that seems to repeat in all these debates: O gets in a long list of points and the mod moves on to the next question and R can't respond. Maybe that is just skillful debating on O's part, but he seemed to get the last word more than R.

This whole debate couldve been won by simply pointing out that Obama basically sat idly by watching our ambassador Stevens plus others die, and did absolutely nothing. No further analysis necessary.

You cant hide from reality, though you may be correct in saying this isnt as bad in the election as I think it will be.
As for this debate, Im sticking by it, Obama won and Romney, while not completely incompetent like O in the first debate, missed huge opportunities.
Hopefully the poster insisting that this is on purpose and that all he had to do is look presidential (whatever that means heh) is right, but me and my degrees in this topic dont see it that way.
Though I suppose Ive been wrong before, but not often in these matters. Lets hope I am!

NBA Jam video game style in your face, boomshakalaka.
His answer sounded like a Republican answer and Mitt couldnt or wouldnt object to his assertions about not caring about getting Bin Laden.

I mean seriously, what the fuck is so wrong with asking rich people to pay more in taxes so that social programs won't need to be cut? And I'll bet the doofus who typed this isn't even rich. People like this hate-monger who are so willing to vote against their fiscal interests make me sick.
jmowreader
(50,528 posts)True statement.
Q. How do most rich people get that way?
A. Selling to the government.
Q. What happens when taxes go up?
A. The government can spend more without resorting to loans.
Q. Where does it spend?
A. At rich people's businesses.
Q. So why not just let rich people keep their money?
A. Because...
1. You don't need employees to put money in the bank but you do to sell to the govt.
2. They get more in contracts than they'd save in taxes.
3. Govt contracting is cumulative. If I sell 50,000 guns to the army I have to buy parts from companies that have to buy steel.
