Many solid Democratic voters are religious and heavily involved in their local churches.

Just use the church as a shell operation. Learn the skeleton lingo. Get a good accountant and a good lawyer. And you're ready to drain the public financially to fund your operation, support, travel.

of liberals fairly consistently. The doctrine of separation of church and state for the protection of people of all beliefs, not excluding the churches themselves, is a liberal creation.

You'd get a lot of revenue, but on the flip side, you'd have churches and other nonprofits being free to advocate for specific candidates. And you wouldn't be able to stop them, because you no longer have the threat of taking away their tax-exempt status.

If it is based on some sort of invisible Harry Potter-like figure in the sky that sometimes grants wishes (prayers) depending on if you’ve been naughty or nice, it has no basis in quantifiable reality.

Cause the story is insane? Nobody out crazies the Bible.

Try this one on for size:

God kills a man’s entire family, extended family and livestock, then inflicts him with disease just to tell the guy in the fiery dungeon “told ya so”.

God sure seems to have human qualities of being goaded.
