While in the Army, I shot a handgun with a hair trigger. If you haven't shot one, you just don't know how exquisitely sensitive they are. You could shoot it accidentally and never know you touched the trigger. I swear on this. You can EASILY just brush the trigger and have it discharge. We don't know what happened here. We are not in a position to judge.

I remember well when Jon Erik accidentally shot himself. What safety precautions did they change to when handling prop guns? All guns are dangerous no matter what ammo they have in them.

And, can you imagine what it would be like to accidentally shoot someone? People who go to war and have to shoot someone in combat can be destroyed even if they had encouragement to do it. Both my brothers went to Nam, shot people, and the war ruined them. You don't get over it or ever forget.

I'm not particularly fond of Baldwin, but I have sympathy for him having to deal with this. And, if he had to say he didn't shoot because he is having problems with what happened, well, get him some help.

John Schneider should keep his mouth shut. I'm sad to hear he said this. How hard can it be to imagine that maybe Baldwin is suffering? I think John's anger is misplaced.
