After taking the Moderna booster yesterday 6ish in the PM. I went to bed thinking:

"I'M INVINCIBLE!!!" (1st and 2nd shots were a "breeze" for me).

"Not so fast there, kid!!". Said the head /joint pains and chills this afternoon...........

On the plus side I'm now able to pick up police scanner transmissions. And if I stand next to the TV. We can now pick up channel 2 (CBS) here in Chicago. Is that normal?

Tea bags. One bag, warm water, one half teaspoon of sugar in hub’s giant coffee mug. Thats what I drink.

Ps…it will also settle my upset stomach, when I have one. It’s like medicine.

My husband bowls with a guy who retired from work in Lipton’s tea mixing room (their plant is literally blocks from my house). They don’t mix the tea there anymore, though. They make other things now, and I know several people that work there.

Their tea formulas are top secret, and the guys in the tea department were big shots! His was one of the most coveted jobs in the plant. It is really interesting to hear him talk about that work.

Get well soon!

at my old firm we were designing a new plant for an artificial flavoring company. I went a few times to their current space for surveys, meetings, etc. and would come out smelling like a "Cheez-It". Guys who worked there long term told me their sense of smell was all but gone. I'll take the tea plant any day over that.

But last night I had the chills so bad that I slept wearing long underwear, a fleece hoodie (hood up), and fleece-lined socks in addition to my PJs (and under multiple layers of blankets).

I was resisting the urge to crank up the thermostat and got the long johns out to put next to the bed to pull on in case I was too chilled to fall asleep, but they felt so cozy I just pulled 'em on, deciding that if I overheated, I could get up and pull them off. I didn't overheat. I slept fairly well.

Tylenol got the headache under control for me and I feel mostly better now. If I start feeling like last night again, I'll probably add to my regimen a mugful of hot herbal tea.
