Interesting little story in Vanity Fair. I kind of wish I could see the trial now.

(1,068 posts)From what I have read so far of that trial, the prosecution seems to be on par with the Rittenhouse prosecution, in terms of having their own witnesses being impeached on cross examination.

(7,611 posts)Struck me is that the allegations seem to be really old. Don't know what a jury makes of that.
Two of the prosecution witnesses have either been caught in openly lying in their testimony or else have had their version of events contradicted by facts (witness testified that Epstein took her to "The Lion King" on broadway, as part of the grooming process, in 1994, when that musical did not debut until 1997). Those sorts of things undermine the credibility of the prosecutions case and it makes you wonder how well the witnesses were prepped before being put on the stand.
