is the mask mandate acutally enforced in your area (if any in place)?

Studies show they work, but I think they work when there's large compliance. Many of the places when them also have a higher than average vax rate. In the days before the one here expired, I saw mixed compliance among customers but employees had high compliance, now it's mixed, sometimes there may be more masked than unmasked while other it's more unmasked than masked.

Most people honor it, but I haven’t seen a single maskless person challenged since the mandate came back.

5. Yes, the mask mandate is enforced everywhere I go in L.A. County.

And the vaccine mandate is now being enforced to get into restaurants (for indoor dining), gyms, nail salons, etc. in L.A. city. It's great. I wish we could NOT wear a mask at the gym since everyone inside is fully vaxed.

For many months now, businesses post signs on doors saying only unvaccinated people must wear masks.

Yet I see 1/4 maybe if I’m lucky 1/3 of people wearing them.

Don’t know about restaurants since I haven’t been inside of one since early 2020. But they all appear packed in the evenings.

At least not state wide. The recall election killed any chance of that coming back, Newsom would rather let local governments take the heat.

Like doctors offices n such n requested in other places but not honored. I finally went out Sunday to celebrate a friend’s bday n everyone looked at me like I was a freak. Actually, I was. Not one person had a mask on.. not even my friends who believe they’re vaxxed and ok. I got ribbed and told em all what I say under my breath.. we’re in a pandemic, dammit. Have you lost your mind? I did use the f-word but they know me well. Seriously, I’ve about had it with most people n keep telling myself I’m getting old n relax but I just can’t yet.

Like Madison, we are smart liberals. Compliance is pretty high in the more liberal urban areas of NC, less so in the areas that voted for Trump. Still, more than I saw in TN.

Any indoor public space requires them in Seattle. Many require Proof of Vaccine (museums, restaurants).

It's really a relief to live in an area where I'm not bloody terrified all the time. Heck, I'm still cautious, but it's been really bad for me not to get out and be active and around people, so any sense of security is welcome.

No mandate since summer. Maybe 1 in 4 still wear them when I am shopping. It does vary from place to place though. Downtown Detroit has a little bit more masking. Areas in Macomb County it's basically zero from what I have seen when I am there.

Was in Las Vegas recently, indoor masks required. Compliance was maybe 2/3. Little to no enforcement. Seen casino security and LVMPD walk right by unmasked guests without saying anything.

23. The Costco near me in NoVa has no mandate, just a request, but compliance is very high.

No mask at all I haven't seen. A few 'mustache masks' but very few.

In fact there are vaccination or test requirements in quite a few places. Restaurants are mixed on how they like it, but it's in place.

but most people in the Bay Area wear them, and many stores and indoor activities require them. Some also require proof of vaccination: I went to a concert last weekend that did - I know the persons checking for vax proof, and they know I've been jabbed, but they still wanted to see them.
