At 95 1/2 she is at the bottom of the list because she is home bound with us. Her first shot was J&J, this one is Moderna. I am thrilled she will be protected.
Our town health department has been great getting this done.

(83,746 posts)He had to sit with her after the shot for the 15 minutes. They chatted about her nursing experience. He was good people.
Must say all the people that have been with mom are good kind peeps.

(205,220 posts)Because traffic was stopped due to three separate accidents, 2 on the highway, no doubt due to bad weather earlier. So I chose the CVS closest to me and I'm headed there late Thursday. I tried to pick a day when I didn't have to be anywhere the next day since I felt pretty rotten the day after shot #2 last March. I know I'll feel relieved when I've finally gotten it. Now I just have to convince my brother.. It took me awhile to convince him to actually leave the house and get his initial shots, Pfizer in April and May. He thinks because he rarely goes anywhere, he's okay.

(83,746 posts)Got them at the same time, different arms. I always have a reaction from the flu shot. Swollen arm and felt crappy for a day.
Well worth it.

(205,220 posts)That was a mistake. My left arm was really uncomfortable for a very long time, but I don't know which shot it was! Glad I did it, I won't do two at once again...

(83,746 posts)I just wanted it done.
I have had more shots in the last year than in my lifetime Shingles, flu, Pneumonia and 3 Covid shots.

(205,220 posts)I had a conversation with a woman I know who got Shingles - and she said it was so painful that she cut off her hair! That was all I had to hear. I was a little worried though since I got the first shot, but then they stopped giving inoculations (Walgreens) because of the pandemic, so I finally got shot #2 in just within the 6-month window. And same here! Other than the flu shot, I don't recall getting inoculations since I was in school!
