Its okay for Texas to ignore federal law about abortion.
Yeah, I know. We all saw this coming, but this is the start. The camel's nose is now in the tent. Soon enough there will be camel shit inside tent.
I have heard IRL friends talking about leaving the US. There have been warnings that when a democracy fails, the faster you can leave, the better. The well off left Germany before Hitler's power was too great. Similarly, people fled Russia, Spain, and, close to home for me, italy as those countries devolved into fascism.

(10,507 posts)the US - I have contemplated leaving Texas for about 15 years and didn't do it thinking things would get better. It hasn't happened, just gotten worse. Now I am so old it would be hard to do.
So for any youngsters that are thinking about leaving the US or even states like Texas - do it because if history is any indication you will regret not doing so.
Can't say I didn't warn ya!!
