(43,164 posts)I could hear Bernie saying it my mind.
Classic Bernie, right down to the "great, good for you" and "zoom around on a rocket."

(11,704 posts)The media ignored him until that became impossible. He's done more than almost anyone else when it comes to bringing working American issues to public light.
Unlike a lot of politicians, his positions are the same as they were when he was mayor of Burlington. We need a lot more like him, and less like certain Senators beholden to Big Coal and Big Pharma.

(29,078 posts)Of course he's changed! He did a LOT of evolving on criminal justice reform in the last few years, and gun control and good for him for learning about racial issues in criminal justice and American society.
Really not a good idea to mythologize a politician.

(490 posts)When he was giving a speech before an enthusiastic crowd of thousands and the media kept a camera on an empty podium waiting for the orange anus to spew his bile. Please explain your contempt and hatred for Bernie and why you have to express that contempt every time someone complements him. As far as continuing his positions since 1981, while I'm sure there are nuanced differences, his core beliefs then were correct and still are.

Most Americans are tired of these greedy-ass, monopolistic companies that are basically traitors to America and democracy itself in many ways.
