Georgia's Perdue sues over loss of Senate seat to Ossoff a year ago

ATLANTA (AP) — Days after announcing his candidacy for governor, Republican David Perdue further embraced debunked claims of electoral fraud in Georgia’s 2020 presidential race by joining a lawsuit seeking to prove he and former President Donald Trump were cheated out of election victories.

The suit claims that fraudulent or counterfeit ballots were counted in Fulton County, the state’s most populous jurisdiction, although investigators rebutted the same claims previously.

Perdue’s lawsuit amplifies claims that the former senator has made this week since announcing a challenge to incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp on Monday. Perdue told Axios and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he wouldn’t have certified Georgia’s 2020 results if he had been governor then, unlike Kemp. Georgia law says the governor must certify results.

Trump has repeatedly savaged Kemp for not doing enough to overturn the loss. After inviting Perdue to run, Trump endorsed Perdue on Monday, saying Kemp has been “very weak” on “election integrity.”

Perdue is garbage, and by going on social media threads and trashing him, we're doing Kemp's work for him. Perdue is terrible, but Kemp is, too - albeit a quieter kind of terrible.

for him and in the process weaken Kemp. Perdue will follow trump’s lead and be as trumpian as he can be. Kemp will not be undone and will go even further. Kemp is not going to endorse the big lie. But he will try to out racist Perdue. The problem for Kemp, it won’t work in the general election. His racism to best Perdue will turn off some would be voters and he’s not getting the MAGA vote.

Already Perdue is calling for a debate about allowing Buckhead to be its own city. Kemp will probably try to take this talking point away from him by saying he will approve

12. Perdue is going after Ruby,

Remember Ruby from Rachel last night? Her daughter talked her into helping count ballots. Trump and now Perdue are claiming she dumped thousands of fake ballots into the election.

Ruby and her family have been getting death threats, threats of being hanged, the grandson can't study because they are leaving threats on his cell phone. They go to her door and bang on it. She called 911 and the cops showed up, while there they answered numerous phone calls meant for Ruby with threats of violence. Local police have done absolutely nothing to stop the threats. The FBI did intervene on 1/4, it told Ruby to move out of her house because it wasn't safe, so she did and they were right, a mob showed up at her house on 1/6. That is what DOJ has done to help Ruby, told her to move out.

That's what this law suit is about, keeping the Big Lie alive and tormenting poor Ruby.

Cuing the poster who told me in another thread there is nothing that law enforcement can charge anyone with.

When he loses, Perdue should be penalized with a fine equivalent to the cost this undoubtedly forces upon the defense and the court. There simply has to be a consequence to BS lawsuits like this.
