I have a flood of emails from healthcare.gov that tell me I need to choose a healthcare plan. I am already enrolled with UnitedHealthcare/AARP at least for a couple of years.
Do I need to react to these emails from healthcare.gov? IAAIKT, I am insured under this program. The deadline is 12/15, so....do I have to do anything?

(670 posts)I get the same email even though I have insurance through my wifes plan. What happened was I was on their website a couple of years ago looking at plans, entered my email address, and now I get these notifications.

(2,595 posts)there is nothing you need to do. Most of the ads I see tout the Advantage Plans (C) for $0. Great if you do not get sick. So much time and money wasted on this dance every year. You an always call UH or AARP to put your mind at ease. Note, I also have UH/AARP.

(24,556 posts)Kind of frustrating that healthcare.gov doesn't have this info in their database. Actually, they hotlink me to the Maine marketplace (coverME.gov)....they don't give me an easy way to say, yes, I have coverage with UH/AARP....it would make things a lot easier!

(9,823 posts)One risk pool is a health care system. Multiple risk pools is an investment scheme. We have enough investment schemes in this country; we need a health care system.
