Rep. Raskin is being exceedingly proper by using the customary House parlance. She is as far from a gentle lady as it is possible to be.

(11,767 posts)"You use that word all the time, I just want to tell us all what Communism means" Don't let her evade. Correct her when she is wrong. Get as close as you can to either having her concede that she doesn't know (she doesn't) or having her storm off in a huff.
She is an idiot and she needs to be shown to be an idiot as often as possible.

(343 posts)Marxism: "Marxism is a method of socioeconomic analysis that uses a materialist interpretation of historical development, better known as historical materialism, to understand class relations and social conflict as well as a dialectical perspective to view social transformation. It originates from the works of 19th-century German philosophers Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. As Marxism has developed over time into various branches and schools of thought, currently no single, definitive Marxist theory exists."
"Neo-Marxism": "Neo-Marxism is a Marxist school of thought encompassing 20th-century approaches that amend or extend Marxism and Marxist theory, typically by incorporating elements from other intellectual traditions such as critical theory, psychoanalysis, or existentialism (in the case of Jean-Paul Sartre).
As with many uses of the prefix neo-, some theorists and groups who are designated as neo-Marxists have attempted to supplement the perceived deficiencies of orthodox Marxism or dialectical materialism. Many prominent neo-Marxists, such as Herbert Marcuse and other members of the Frankfurt School, have historically been sociologists and psychologists."
"Cultural Marxism is a far-right antisemitic conspiracy theory which claims Western Marxism as the basis of continuing academic and intellectual efforts to subvert Western culture. The theory claims that an elite of Marxist theorists and Frankfurt School intellectuals are subverting Western society with a culture war that undermines the Christian values of traditionalist conservatism and promotes the cultural liberal values of the 1960s counterculture and multiculturalism, progressive politics and political correctness, misrepresented as identity politics created by critical theory." Sound familiar? Like the accusations against Critical Race Theory?
"With roots in the Nazi propaganda term Cultural Bolshevism, the conspiracy theory originated in the United States during the 1990s. While originally found only on the far-right political fringe, the term began to enter mainstream discourse in the 2010s and is now found globally. The conspiracy theory of a Marxist culture war is promoted by right-wing politicians, fundamentalist religious leaders, political commentators in mainstream print and television media, and white supremacist terrorists. Scholarly analysis of the conspiracy theory has concluded that it has no basis in fact."

It's like when a woman screams she loves "bad boys" then get hurt and cries that she can't find a good man.
It's like when men try to date a stripper, then get upset when she doesn't stop stripping when he's dating her.
Everyone loves train wrecks.

(35,074 posts)First of all, whoever is in charge of HR and keeping the workplace free of harassing language, bullying and intimidation is doing a terrible job and needs to be fired.
That said, it is what it is. Apparently anything goes and that's not going to change anytime soon.
My suggestion is for Democrats to keep it extremely simple with the Q-clowns. Use language they understand (no higher than 4th grade level).
