New report released on how over 100 Marines were given the boot because they were unvaccinated.

I gotta tell ya, out of all the surprising people I hear who refuse to get the vaccine (and it's not all just Trumpster idiots), it's Military folks that are most puzzling. These people are trained to take orders and march into any danger for god and country when asked and they do it without question and do it with no thought about their own well-being. But tell them to get a world-saving Covid vaccination...? Oh sure, NOW they question their orders and say FUCK NO because of... reasons! Fascinating.

2. Military people are often right wing, especially since the volunteer military is

largely drawn from the South and from rural areas.

3. When in the Military, your ass is OWNED.

You serve the country and the Constitution, defending them against enemies Foreign or Domestic.

If the US Military says you get vaccinated, you get vaccinated. End of sentence.

5. There are lots of folks in uniform looking for ways to get out...

this just provides another avenue for them to get out early.

6. These left are few, but probably a good number among them have

shifted their authoritarian loyalty -- with their "tribe" -- to another leader. Some to take their nation back from the illicut cabal yada yada. Others, who don't need full-on hypocritical excuses, because hard-core RW tRumpism, and tRump, suits them much better than liberal democracy. In both cases, for these authoritarian subtypes at least it'll still be follow the leader.

I'm assuming most dishonorable, potential traitors, authoritarians and others, remain in the mlitary for the expected self-serving reasons. They're not afraid of a shot.
