give up.
Please try to avoid fatalistic predictions that may discourage some of "ours" and bring smiles to the faces of many of "theirs".
Get away from politics for a day or two if you're overwhelmed, but then get up off your butt, square your shoulders and get back into the fray.
Recent announcements are even more reason why we need to "pull out all the stops" during this next year and increase our numbers in both houses of Congress.

I learned a long time ago that it's a lot better for my mental health to mostly ignore the daily reports of sausage making. Even normal legislation typically takes years to become law. Tune in for the end because imagining that deeply flawed, often misleading and information-free daily reporting is meaningful and informative is for suckers and masochists.
Know who and what our people on the front lines are and realize they inevitably believe even more in what they're devoting their lives to than I can from out here, and that's a lot.

Especially annoying when everyone is trying to he the first to break news. Check the board first before creating a thread. Cant tell you how annoying it was when RBG died and EVERYONE was trying to be the first to post it!

(1,300 posts)We've largely blanked the boob-news here and I'm barely scratching even the NYT these days, but let no negativity take over. There is a lot to do and share and agitate for!
Not to mention Hope!!

(6,232 posts)happen is for our side to start saying they aren't going to vote in the Midterms. It is so clear that we need to win more elections. You can't move your agenda forward with such a slim margin.
