2. This is not exactly the first time Manchin said he wouldn't vote for

our big bills and had people bouncing off the walls. It's not that it doesn't matter, he's drawing a line, ball to us. I don't know offhand if it's the first time for this particular blll or the second or third.

I learned a long time ago that it's a lot better for my mental health to mostly ignore the daily reports of sausage making. Even normal legislation typically takes years to become law. Tune in for the end because imagining that deeply flawed, often misleading and information-free daily reporting is meaningful and informative is for suckers and masochists.

Know who and what our people on the front lines are and realize they inevitably believe even more in what they're devoting their lives to than I can from out here, and that's a lot.

they'll do are a thousand times more honorable than those whose actions betray the virtues they claim. Being too thoughtless, hypocritical or extremist to understand the difference is an explanation but not an excuse.

happen is for our side to start saying they aren't going to vote in the Midterms. It is so clear that we need to win more elections. You can't move your agenda forward with such a slim margin.
