TFG got a significant amount of support from Hispanic voters in 2020 due to concerns about socialism and crappy ideas like "defund the police."
I know that the Texas Democratic Party is concerned and there have been some CLE events on this. TFG did very well in the Rio Grande Valley in 2020 and the state party is working to improve outreach

Ramos, the former deputy director of Hispanic media for Hillary Clintons 2016 presidential campaign, joined The Cross Connection with host Tiffany Cross to talk about Hispanic voter outreach following reporting this week which purported to show that the Hispanic vote is now essentially up for grabs.
A poll from The Wall Street Journal released a week ago showed Hispanic voters who were surveyed said they were almost evenly split in their preference between Democrats and Republicans, meaning the countrys second largest voting bloc is now a swing vote.
Cross asked both Ramos and Northwestern University professor Geraldo Cadava about the potential ramifications of the polling. Ramos initially assigned blame to Cuban-American Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) for engaging in what she said was a misinformation campaign based on fear-mongering.

The Rio Grande Valley are conservative Democrats. Many of them are Border Patrol agents themselves. Border Patrol is a major employer down there.
They're the type of people who vote for Henry Cuellar.

I'm aware of the preferences and conservatism of Texans in that region and those with hispanic heritage. I have a cousin in Calif. married to a person of Mexican background, a sibling with a Cuban spouse and children in Florida, and another relative married to a Seminole.
