"For the unvaccinated, you're looking at a winter of severe illness and death ..."

I suspect that this was already posted and I missed it. For anyone else that might not have seen it:

Press Briefing by White House COVID-19 Response Team and Public Health Officials

DECEMBER 17, 2021 • PRESS BRIEFINGS

[...]

Our vaccines work against Omicron, especially for people who get booster shots when they are eligible. If you are vaccinated, you could test positive. But if you do get COVID, your case will likely be asymptomatic or mild.

We are intent on not letting Omicron disrupt work and school for the vaccinated. You’ve done the right thing, and we will get through this.

For the unvaccinated, you’re looking at a winter of severe illness and death for yourselves, your families, and the hospitals you may soon overwhelm.

So, our message to every American is clear: There is action you can take to protect yourself and your family. Wear a mask in public indoor settings. Get vaccinated, get your kids vaccinated, and get a booster shot when you’re eligible.

For all you asshole politicians and bloggers and anti-science folk who did your research on the internet, and specially for Fox, stfu or visit your local hospital first before outting yourself as assholes. There you will find the Science you railed against that will now save your sorry ass.

Don’t want to stfu about being against science, then don’t go to the hospital when you get sick, ok? And leave your also infected children and grandma at home. Deal?

Ok, not the kids or grandma.

We have countless unvaxxed "laboratories" among us as perfect hosts for the virus to continue to modify.

It is hard for me to think that we are pretty well fucked, for a long time.

It's simple -- more dead people decreases the number of Democrats elected.

This is also kind of a kick in the teeth to people with very young children.

FFS - horrible optics!

Send free test kits and masks by mail

Direct the CDC to reinstate mask mandate and social distancing

Send out stimulus payments

Guarantee paid leave

This personal responsibility crap sounds like nothing short of a pharmaceutical ad

10. People still think it will be mild

They don’t get that even if they don’t get a very bad case, it’s still likely to be one of the sickest they’ve ever been in their lives.

I’m on day 3 right now and it’s just awful. I can’t imagine being a long hauler and feeling like this for weeks or months.

I think the stories of people having very mild or no symptoms make people think they’ll be kick like that. People think they’ll win the lottery too.
