It's the first time I've ever seen Scarbro' keep his mouth shut for an extended period of time while someone else was speaking.

(54,405 posts)AOC was superb. she has that 'it' factor.
She also looked positively stunning and glowing physically, which is amazing given the thousands of non stop death threats she labours under over the past 3 years, including from her OWN FUCKING COLLEAGUES.
I cannot begun to fathom that psychic toll.

I could see her in the Senate, maybe even the White House.

(32,318 posts)when she said that she represents more people than Joe Manchin does.
Remember now S1 is S1 because it was the first bill. 7 months ago Chuck Schumer should have carved up S1 into 10 pieces and voted on those individual bills rapid fire, one bill after the other and when Republicans voted down every reasonable bill I would have gone to Manchin and said that Republicans will not compromise, I am doing a carve out of the filibuster bill just for S1 and I expect your vote. If you vote no I expect you to explain why to the American people, no I will demand it.

(2,174 posts)The segment was longer, and kept getting better, but at least it gives you an idea. I hope the entire segment gets posted at some point. The best parts were left out.

(1,843 posts)AOC was fantastic this morning. She's the future of our party, and a pretty formidable presence now. I wouldn't trade her for an entire zoo full of disloyal DINO Manchimps.

(2,174 posts)If I understand your point, I agree that Republicans deserve a relentless contingent of spotlights and microphones shoved in their faces, and I blame MSM for the failure to do their jobs.
AOC did make pointed references to gerrymandering, voter suppression, and Ted Cruzs threats to filibuster Biden appointments. The fact that Republicans are the main culprits was implicit.
IMHO, what she did with this single opportunity was far more effective. She modeled what it looks and sounds like to be an unambiguous warrior for democracy. She rallied the troops and armored them for the battles ahead. I hope you had a chance to watch the entire interview.
