I would love to see an ad where the voiceover asks do you support (insert popular provision of BBB, such as paid family/life leave)?
Then a graphic would show these representatives agreed with you and a blue symbol for each Dem rep, and a red symbol for each Repub who supported BBB, on the left side of the screen.
On the right screen, the same symbol scheme, but these representatives did NOT; they kept it from happening.
It should be obvious that it isnt a Dems in disarray, they failed us problem. Its a you need to put more Dems in Congress problem. So the final message should say something like that.
Katie Porter could do this better, but you get the idea. People need a vivid image of a mass of blue trying to do what voters want and a mass of red obstructing.

(34,476 posts)Going to be in trouble because of the failure of BBB to pass, etc. Dems need to show voters that not a single Republican in the Senate supported the popular programs voters want and THAT is the failure, which voters can fix.

And then "here's the countries that don't offer this" and put up like N. Korea, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc.

ie- women who drop out of the workforce over childcare costs. lay out the lifetime cost of those lost earnings, and the cost to replace her as a worker.
then do the roi of supported childcare. the wages of the childcare workers, the educational benefits.
katy porter is exactly the person for this.

With the right cheery background music, it would be seen as FACT, which it is, rather than divisive etc.

(34,476 posts)Push the clear message of why isnt the media asking Republicans why they arent supporting BBB? and if voters want BBB, they must elect more Democrats.
