I am honored by everyone's comments! There have been enough times in my life when I was alone and shy. I know how that can affect a person. But with age, if you're lucky, you learn wisdom. I have some of that and that wisdom has allowed me to have empathy. And that changes everything.

As long as I live, DU is home. I love it here. All the experiences have made me who I am today. You have all helped me grow in so many ways!

137. Once upon a time, in the not-so-distant past

California Peggy and her husband came to visit my wife and me in Düsseldorf. We went out to eat with a friend of ours who was Moscow station chief for West German radio news. It is a famous restaurant in the former house of a German diplomat stationed in Morocco a century ago. He remodeled it into an Arabian nobleman's residence in the heart of Düsseldorf, and the food served there is quite in line with the décor. A memorable evening for everyone!
