Lincoln County, Georgia is trying to close all but one polling place for next year’s elections even though some people live as far as 23 miles away, the Augusta Chronicle reports.

4. Looked up the racial make up of this county.

65% white 35% African American. Only having 1 polling place anywhere makes no sense.

And there are only 7,000 people in the whole township.
The town SSW of around 5,000 has only one, but it's dead center of town. Hardly anybody lives more than a mile & a half away.
They want one for an entire county?
Gee, I wonder why.

I live in Atlanta, and had never heard of Lincoln County before.

I looked it up, and they have a grand total population of 7,690 people. 67.5% of them are white, 27.5% of them are black, 3% are other.
