We went out to run some errands and do some grocery shopping. Anywhere where they are giving vaccine shots was doing a very brisk business. Probably mostly people getting boosters, but hopefully some non-vaxers have made a smart decision finally.

(24,906 posts)just above Napa county. Our county has 60,000 people, Barely blue politics, but trending more blue. We have been stuck at about a 60% vax rate for awhile. High risk elderly are at a higher percentage than others. 116 deaths since the pandemic began.

(78,258 posts)I took grandson for booster yesterday. Rural TN.
Hardly anyone in huge grocery store was masked, even in pharmacy & most who had mask on had it under nose.
I struck up friendly conversation with middle aged tech who was correctly masked & told her I was surprised pharmacy didn't have a line out the door for boosters.
She replied, saying if they weren't doing appts, they would have a huge line.
I smiled & told her, "no you wouldn't. Look at the customers. Hardly anyone correctly masked."
She rolled her eyes & laughed a bit & said "ya, I know."
Tbh, it seemed to me she was likely processing upcoming family holiday plans with maskholes & weighing her options.
I hope our conversation keeps her safe!
