Herschel Walker says that... the Voting Rights Bill "doesn't fit what John Lewis stood for."

Herschel Walker says that Congressman John Lewis was “one of the greatest SENATORS that’s ever been,” and that the Voting Rights Bill “doesn’t fit what John Lewis stood for.”

That's some crazy-ass shite right there!

He does.

IF enough shenanigans in Georgia can happen to black/dem voters courtesy of the GQP US Taliban Party ie: gerrymandering and all mentioned above etc., HE can be the next sitting US Senator in the Senate.

NOT making fun of mental illness, but the man obviously has something wrong with him mentally. Too many hits to the head (CTE), coupled with multiple personalities--he put a gun to his ex-wife's temple saying that he should blow her head off, then after that he slaked her (Her father was a cop, how could they let him continue on with that?), and he has a mentally disturbed self-hating son who says he hates black people yet he's half black and his Dad and that side of the family is black, and he also says he hates gay people, yet he's gay.

I have a friend who lives in Dawson Georgia, and he told me a few days ago that he saw some scary footage of Walker being interview briefly by a local station reporter as he exited some event, and he said the reporter asked Walker if he had a Degree in Criminal Justice, which his campaign was floating out there which later was debunked and taken down from Walker's website, and my friend said Walker stared ahead for a few seconds at the guy asking the question, and never answered the person and just looked at him, then the film ended. He said the two news anchors at the news desk kind of looked at each other with what he said was startled looks on their faces, and mentioned something about Walker having a meet and greet somewhere on such and such a date.

My friend said he can't described how scary and darn-right evil and out of touch with reality Walker looked to him in that moment.

What in hell? It's bad enough we have loons like Cave Woman Green, human trash can Boebart, and Gosar in there as United States Representatives.

Good Lord, at the politics from the US GP Taliban Party reich side of the isle ....

https://www.discoveringbristol.org.uk/slavery/against-slavery/black-resistance-against-slavery/the-maroons-of-jamaica/

The Maroons were escaped slaves. They ran away from their Spanish-owned plantations when the British took the Caribbean island of Jamaica from Spain in 1655. The word maroon comes from the Spanish word ‘cimarrones‘, which meant ‘mountaineers’. They fled to the mountainous areas of Jamaica, where it was difficult for their owners to follow and catch them, and formed independent communities as free men and women.

As more slaves were imported from Africa to work on the developing sugar plantations, and the population of enslaved Africans grew on Jamaica, there were more rebellions by the slaves. Some of the rebel slaves disappeared into the mountains and joined the Maroon communities.

As the Maroon population grew, the Jamaican government decided to defeat the Maroons once and for all. They were seen as a constant threat by the government. The First Maroon War began in 1728. The campaign against them made the Maroons more determined than ever. Under their leader called Cudjoe, the Maroons fought back.

In 1739, the British and the Maroons made peace. The freedom of the Maroons was recognised and their land was given to them. The Maroons were to govern themselves. In return they would support the British government in Jamaica against foreign invasion and would help capture rebel slaves and runaways from the plantations and return them to their owners. Although this agreement might seem strange now, it was one way for the Maroons to live in peace with the island’s government.

I was kidding around using the term “maroon”…when I meant moron. That said, I didn’t know about the actual Maroons in your post…so thank you for that.

Queen Nanny of the Maroons

https://www.turbante-se.com/blog/2020/7/17/queen-nanny-of-the-maroons

When I first started researching women in history, who would wear headwrap, I remember finding Queen Nanny of the Maroons in a headwrap on a 500 dollars note from Jamaica. She is the only recognized national hero in Jamaica, born in Ghana. The most notable rebel woman in Jamaica's history has an intriguing yet shadowed in mystery history. She was a powerful military leader and strategist who transcended gender stereotypes to lead her people.

"Nanny was not born into the Maroons, rather she came from Ghana. Information about how Nanny integrated herself into the Maroon communities is non-existent. She is only mentioned in text four times: all by British individuals who she encountered. Despite there being little written information about her, Nanny is considered to be "the personified symbol of black resistance against white oppression by the Maroons and others." According to Mozambican historian and novelist Mario Azevedo, Nanny was known by both her own people and the British as an incredible political and military leader. (...) She did not engage in the fighting herself, although she did kill and have put to death many British soldiers. She is credited with teaching her soldiers, some 3,000 by one count, how to use a cow horn for long distance communication by blowing into it. A British junior officer described her as "[having] a girdle around her waist, with nine or ten different knives hanging in sheaths to it, many of which I doubt not had been plunged into human flesh and blood. Karla Gottlieb, (in The Mother of Us All: A History of Queen Nanny, Leader of the Windward Jamaican Maroons) estimates that throughout the fighting, only 100 Maroons were killed in comparison to the thousands of British. Nanny clearly was a formidable foe, but that was not all for which she was known."
