They (Mil Officials) actually feared and for good reason that Mango Mussolini would use the Insurection Act to stop Joe Biden from being instated. What's scarier is Trump by no means is smart enough to come up with something like this on his own, which leads us to believe this was a well thought out plan by many in the Republithug party to seize power. we know Bannon was essentially coordinating the ground game with the insurrectionists to get the electoral vote count stopped

we know drumpf's hand picked military leader (who's name escapes me right now) was installed to cut off the national guard response to the attack.

and meadows was basically the single point of contact between these groups and reporting to drumpf.

It was a coup, and to be honestly a hastily organized one with some holes. but it came down to a few Capital police officers, buying the USA literal minutes, maybe even just seconds, between the attack succeeding and failing.

They will learn from these mistakes and the next coup, we might not be able to stop. 1. The traitors knew there wasn't going to be counter-protests that morning.
2. They may have been waiting for those 2 bombs to explode and declare it was Antifa or whatever tale they had cooked up, that didn't happen.

Those 2 events make sense for invoking the Insurrection Act.

However, when the riot only involved law enforcement and the mob, which was obviously Trump people, I don't feel that sending in the Guard earlier would have given Trump a good enough reason to invoke the insurrection Act. Maybe I'm wrong.

Which military officials feared that Trump would invoke the insurrection act and how did they come by this conclusion and what were their names? The original story from the military was that the optics would look bad if they sent in the Guard.

What is in the document that the whistleblower from the Guard gave to the select committee? I'm betting that his version is the true one.

Getting Congress to leave the buildings and go home was the final plan.

There were too many traitors involved in this coup, the truth has to come out.

is Republicans have always had a sort of kinship with the military or an upper hand if you will. And we no longer live in a country where the will of the people rules the day. I never ever imagined a military coup in America but these recent events have shown us just how easily this could be pulled off. As someone previously mentioned they heard a right wing acquaintance saying something big is coming days before the inauguration and this is true because far right web media was leading the call for taking back America from those that stole the election, so this was planned right down to the smallest detail getting the average right wing Joe amped up for the event to possibly have them act at the local level. I myself was in a local deli the morning of Jan 6th and some local nut job was standing there saying, we're gonna take America back and its gonna happen very soon, then saying to the guy behind the counter how well armed he is and how much ammunition he has stored for an event just like this all while the counter guy was in full agreement with this nodding his head up and down! I get a strong feeling and agree with others here that Jan6 was the first attempt and that this is going to happen again. We have a militarized public with weapons and lots of ammo. I can only imagine what the future holds for America and none of it is good
