Republicans could flip two Senate seats in Georgia and Nevada, new GOP polling shows

Next year’s Senate elections in Georgia and Nevada are shaping up to be close, with President Joe Biden’s falling popularity raising GOP hopes of unseating Democrats, according to recent polling by the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

In Georgia, it’s a dead heat, with Republican Herschel Walker, the former football star, at 49 percent and Sen. Raphael Warnock at 48 percent among likely voters.

In Nevada, 46 percent of registered voters said they would vote for Republican Adam Laxalt, the state’s former attorney general, and 42 percent favored Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto.

We have a lot of work to do next year, we can't let the fascists win.

...I can't believe Walker could defeat Warnock after the debates. Besides, Walker's son is definitely problematic. His rants are already out on social media.

it's possible Dems could pick up

Pennsylvania
Ohio
Florida
Wisconsin
North Carolina

A great candidate in Missouri, or simply fortuitous circumstances, could get in there too.

Indicting T**** and televised Jan 6 committee hearings could go a long way to swing the pendulum back to Dems

Not guaranteeing it, or course.

We have a shot at PA and WI, we MIGHT be competitive in NC and OH, everything else is probably out of reach.

If we Democrats spent all of the time and energy on GOTV that is otherwise wasted on election speculation, we wouldn't need to speculate. Of course, GOTV requires actual effort and participation.

Even the state GOP hates him. Though he adopted his mother's maiden name, he's not a member of the powerful Laxalt family here in Nevada, but the oopsie offspring of the deceased former Senator Paul Laxalt's estranged grand-daughter and the deceased former Arizona Senator Pete Domenici. Very Peyton Place. He's a teabagger, start to finish and pretty much no one listens to anything he has to say. He was elected as AG during the Tea Party sweep a few election cycles ago but since has lost every race he's run.

the only elected office he ever won was the Attorney General of Nevada under gov Brian Sandoval. Sandoval refused to endorse Laxalt in the gubernatorial campaign in 2018.

The guy is a professional gadfly and irritant.

As popular as Warnock and Abrams may be with Democrats, we’ll have more restrictive voting laws in force, and we won’t have Trump suppressing his own vote.

Nevada has been at risk since Berniecrats and DSA took over the State Party organization. The focus of a state Party is turning out voters, not ideology.

On Rachel’s show last night he called John Lewis a Senator. Then said it was a disgrace to name a voting rights act after him as he would be utterly opposed to it. .
