Why Elisabeth Holmes and not Trump ?

She is currently on trial for defrauding investors by misrepresenting what her company was accomplishing and selling.
She is facing up to 20 years if found guilty.

All that is understandable, however I fail to see why Trump is not in the same predicament. After all, the Trump University debacle was also fraud on a grand scale.

He has a plethora of other dubious schemes that could qualify as well.

What is Trump doing that has kept him out of prison for decades, even prior to being president ?

in evading justice. He has a legal team with years of experience in these endeavors.

Was Mayor of NYC for 8 years. There are rumors he kept him out of trouble at least for those years.

He was committing crimes long before he was president. My best guess as to why he tried to overthrow the country, is that by serving two terms the seven-year statute of limitations on all his pre-election crimes would have expired while he was still in office.

Ms. Holmes is on trial for the same reason Bernie Madoff was: fleecing the rich.

If she’s have ripped off the working class like Trump did, she’d still be free.

in a big way. It's hard to overstate what a scam she was running. She had contracts with drugstores like Walgreens that were already a going concern even before the Theranos machines could be delivered (and of course, they didn't work). And her corporate board was a who's-who of government/military leaders (e.g. George Schultz). There is a really good book about the Theranos scam: Bad Blood by John Carreyrou.

true, but it would explain why they let him get away with everything for so long. He'd still be protected if he hadn't run for president.

They gave patients invalid blood test results. Diabetics thought they were miraculously cured, non-diabetics thought they were diabetic, and worst of all, cancer survivors got bad news regarding blood markers leading them to believe their cancers were back
