(55,805 posts)My thoughts haven't changed since I first heard about it. They never dreamed it would be discovered so quickly before they went off. It doesn't sound like a rogue, low-level operation to me. It sounds to me like the work of someone with a bag of dirty tricks determined to create as much chaos as possible to prevent the smooth transition of power. (I don't read a lot of spy novels, but I've read some good ones. lol.)

(3,575 posts)that the pipe bombs were intended to implicate Antifa or anarchists. There has been a lot of speculation that the planners of the insurrection were expecting counter demonstrators on 1/6. The idea was to blame the violence on Antifa. Setting off the pipe bombs would have given Trump the excuse to invoke the insurrection act. It was supposed to be Trump's Reichstag Fire except the bombs were discovered and Antifa didn't show up.

(4,269 posts)They seem to be platform shoes, black and white, with (perhaps) a white top. If the FBI could identify shoes so distinctive, maybe they could find where they are sold. I'd like to see the video on a big screen.
I agree, almost certainly a woman.

(4,269 posts)She has a weird way of walking. The Nikes seem to have an unusually thick sole too.

(3,575 posts)In the video below you can see him walk by a recycling bin, and the rim of the lid comes to his waist. These bins are a standard size, and the rim is about 41" from the ground. You can loosely estimate his height from that, and it looks to me about 6 ft. I'm 6 ft and that's where the rim measures on me. (Greene and Boebert are 5'3" and 5'4" respectively.) When the man walking his dog goes by the suspect looks taller. Moreover, I don't see any trace of a female bust line.
To me, the way he moves and stretches makes him look limber and relatively young and, to me anyway, they look somehow like the gestures of a guy. His gait is a little awkward, but I think it's because he's wearing new cumbersome shoes that he's not used to. I would guess he has experience with explosives because he seems pretty casual and unconcerned walking around with a couple pipe bombs in his backpack. Imagine if someone handed you a backpack with a couple pipe bombs and told you to go place them at the entrances of the headquarters of the DNC and the RNC. I would guess that this guy made those bombs. There has been a lot of speculation that this is MTG, but I think that's very unlikely. Why would you give that job to a member of congress? I think this is a guy who knows what he's doing. If you were going to pitch a coup and a key element would be placing pipe bombs in a strategic location, would you give that job to a total novice? There's plenty of militia types with military background who would be better suited.

(27,270 posts)don't think it's Bobert either since the arm pulled back shows no bustline at all in the front.
So I guess it's a guy.
They're got to crack this case!
